Welcome to FireEMSFatality.com
With millions of firefighters and emergency medical services personnel across the country, the potential to face a death or serious injury is great. Since the families firefighters and EMS workers may be eligible for benefits under the Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance Public Safety Officers' Benefits (PSOB) Program, it is important to gather and disseminate information as quickly as possible when a death occurs. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation has created a website exclusively devoted to public safety officer deaths in the fire and emergency medical services. Our goal is to honor firefighters and EMS provided that have died and to share with the Bureau of Justice Assistance to ensure that families of public safety officers are informed of PSOB resources that may be available to them.
